2015-09-29powerpc: Kconfig: remove BE-only platforms from LE kernel buildBoqun Feng1-1/+1
Currently, little endian is only supported on powernv and pseries, however, Kconfigs still allow us to include other platforms in a LE kernel, this may result in space wasting or even build error if some BE-only platforms always assume they are built for a BE kernel. So just modify the Kconfigs of BE-only platforms to remove them from being built for a LE kernel. For 32bit only platforms, nothing needs to be done, because CPU_LITTLE_ENDIAN depends on PPC64. For 64bit supported platforms, add CPU_BIG_ENDIAN to dependencies explicitly, so that these platforms will be disabled for LE [Suggested-by: C├ędric Le Goater <clg@fr.ibm.com>]. 2013-01-11arch/powerpc/platforms/ps3: remove depends on CONFIG_EXPERIMENTALKees Cook1-1/+1
The CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL config item has not carried much meaning for a while now and is almost always enabled by default. As agreed during the Linux kernel summit, remove it from any "depends on" lines in Kconfigs. 2012-04-24powerpc/ps3: Remove MEMORY_HOTPLUG requirementAndre Heider1-1/+0
The dependency on hotplug memory was removed, so remove the dependency in the Kconfig. Signed-off-by: Andre Heider <a.heider@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Geoff Levand <geoff@infradead.org>
2012-04-24powerpc/ps3: Add PS3 repository write supportGeoff Levand1-0/+13
Add a new config option CONFIG_PS3_REPOSITORY_WRITE that conditionally builds in support to create, write and delete nodes in the PS3 system repository. This support will allow Linux based bootloaders to manage data in the system repository for use by later boot stages, Signed-off-by: Geoff Levand <geoff@infradead.org>
2011-09-20powerpc/ps3: Add gelic udbg driverHector Martin1-0/+12
Add a new udbg driver for the PS3 gelic Ehthernet device. This driver shares only a few stucture and constant definitions with the gelic Ethernet device driver, so is implemented as a stand-alone driver with no dependencies on the gelic Ethernet device driver. 2009-03-13ps3/block: Replace mtd/ps3vram by block/ps3vramGeert Uytterhoeven1-0/+7
Convert the PS3 Video RAM Storage Driver from an MTD driver to a plain block device driver. The ps3vram driver exposes unused video RAM on the PS3 as a block device suitable for storage or swap. Fast data transfer is achieved using a local cache in system RAM and DMA transfers via the GPU. The new driver is ca. 50% faster for reading, and ca. 10% for writing. 2009-03-11powerpc/kconfig: Kill PPC_MULTIPLATFORMBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-1/+1
CONFIG_PPC_MULTIPLATFORM is a remain of the pre-powerpc days and isn't really meaningful anymore. It was basically equivalent to PPC64 || 6xx. This removes it along with the following changes: - 32-bit platforms that relied on PPC32 && PPC_MULTIPLATFORM now rely on 6xx which is what they want anyway. - A new symbol, PPC_BOOK3S, is defined that represent compliance with the "Server" variant of the architecture. This is set when either 6xx or PPC64 is set and open the door for future BOOK3E 64-bit. - 64-bit platforms that relied on PPC64 && PPC_MULTIPLATFORM now use PPC64 && PPC_BOOK3S - A separate and selectable CONFIG_PPC_OF_BOOT_TRAMPOLINE option is now used to control the use of prom_init.c Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-07-16powerpc: pci config cleanupJohn Rigby1-0/+1
Choosing PCI or not at config time is allowed on some platforms via an if expression in arch/powerpc/Kconfig. To add a new platform with PCI support selectable at config time, you must change the if expression. This patch makes this easier by changing: bool "PCI support" if <long expression> to bool "PCI support" if PPC_PCI_CHOICE and adding select PPC_PCI_CHOICE to all the config nodes that were previously in the PCI if expression. Platforms with unconditional PCI support continue to just select PCI in their config nodes. 2008-01-25[POWERPC] PS3: Remove lpar address workaroundGeoff Levand1-11/+0

2008-01-25[POWERPC] PS3: Add logical performance monitor driver supportTakashi Yamamoto1-0/+13

2007-12-14[POWERPC] Make PS3_SYS_MANAGER default y, not mMichael Ellerman1-1/+1
Currently it's impossible to build a ps3_defconfig which will reboot without modules installed. This makes it all too easy to find yourself with a PS3 that won't reboot. This is because the system manager driver, which provides the reboot mechanism, is only selectable if PS3_ADVANCED is set, else it defaults to m. In ps3_defconfig PS3_ADVANCED is not set, therefore the system manager is built as a module. It would be desirable IMHO for the defconfig to produce a kernel that boots and reboots, without needing modules to be installed.
