2016-07-02net: phy: dp83867: Fix initialization of PHYCR registerStefan Hauser1-4/+9
When initializing the PHY control register, the FIFO depth bits are written without reading the previous register value, i.e. all other bits are overwritten with zero. This disables automatic MDI-X configuration, which is enabled by default. Fix initialization by doing a read/modify/write operation. 2016-01-07phy: Centralize setting driver module ownerAndrew Lunn1-2/+0
Rather than have each driver set the driver owner field, do it once in the core code. This will also help with later changes, when the device structure will move. 2016-01-07phy: Add an mdio_device structureAndrew Lunn1-2/+2
Not all devices attached to an MDIO bus are phys. So add an mdio_device structure to represent the generic parts of an mdio device, and place this structure into the phy_device. Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2016-01-07phy: phy_{read|write}_mmd_indirect: get addr from phydevAndrew Lunn1-3/+3
The address of the device can be determined from the phydev structure, rather than passing it as a parameter. Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Reviewed-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-12-06PHY: DP83867: Remove looking in parent device for OF propertiesAndrew Lunn1-4/+1
Device tree properties for a phy device are expected to be in the phy node. The current code for the DP83867 also tries to look in the parent node. The devices binding documentation does not mention this, no current device tree file makes use of this, and it is not behaviour we want. So remove looking in the parent device.
