2013-08-28hw: Clean up bogus default boot orderMarkus Armbruster1-1/+0
We set default boot order "cad" in every single machine definition except "pseries" and "moxiesim", even though very few boards actually care for boot order, and "cad" makes sense for even fewer. Machines that care: * pc and its variants Accept up to three letters 'a', 'b' (undocumented alias for 'a'), 'c', 'd' and 'n'. Reject all others (fatal with -boot). * nseries (n800, n810) Check whether order starts with 'n'. Silently ignored otherwise. * prep, g3beige, mac99 Extract the first character the machine understands (subset of 'a'..'f'). Silently ignored otherwise. * spapr Accept an arbitrary string (vl.c restricts it to contain only 'a'..'p', no duplicates). * sun4[mdc] Use the first character. Silently ignored otherwise. Strip characters these machines ignore from their default boot order. For all other machines, remove the unused default boot order alltogether. Note that my rename of QEMUMachine member boot_order to default_boot_order and QEMUMachineInitArgs member boot_device to boot_order has a welcome side effect: it makes every use of boot orders visible in this patch, for easy review. 2013-06-03xen_machine_pv: do not create a dummy CPU in machine->initStefano Stabellini1-16/+0
This fixes a regression introduced by: commit 62fc403f11523169eb4264de31279745f48e3ecc Author: Igor Mammedov <imammedo@redhat.com> Date: Mon Apr 29 18:54:13 2013 +0200 target-i386: Attach ICC bus to CPU on its creation X86CPU should have parent bus so it could provide bus for child APIC. The commit makes it mandatory to pass a valid ICC bus to cpu_x86_create, but cpu_x86_init just passes NULL to it. xen_machine_pv uses cpu_x86_init, therefore it has been broken. This patch fixes the problem by removing the dummy CPU creation altogether from xen_init_pv, relying on the fact that QEMU can now cope with a machine without an emulated CPU. 2013-04-08hw: move private headers to hw/ subdirectories.Paolo Bonzini1-1/+1
Many headers are used only in a single directory. These can be kept in hw/. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini1-2/+2
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches. 2013-03-12cpu: Move halted and interrupt_request fields to CPUStateAndreas Färber1-3/+3
Both fields are used in VMState, thus need to be moved together. Explicitly zero them on reset since they were located before breakpoints. Pass PowerPCCPU to kvmppc_handle_halt(). Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>
2013-03-01hw: move boards and other isolated files to hw/ARCHPaolo Bonzini1-0/+126
