2013-04-08hw: move DMA controllers to hw/dma/, configure with default-configs/Paolo Bonzini1-2101/+0

2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini1-2/+2
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches. 2013-03-01hw: include hw header files with full pathsPaolo Bonzini1-3/+3
Done with this script: cd hw for i in `find . -name '*.h' | sed 's/^..//'`; do echo '\,^#.*include.*["<]'$i'[">], s,'$i',hw/&,' done | sed -i -f - `find . -type f` This is so that paths remain valid as files are moved. Instead, files in hw/dataplane are referenced with the relative path. We know they are not going to move to include/, and they are the only include files that are in subdirectories _and_ move. 2013-01-26hw/omap_dma, hw/omap_spi: Explicitly mark fallthroughsPeter Maydell1-0/+12
Explicitly mark the fallthroughs as intentional in the code pattern where we gradually increment an index before falling into the code to read/write that array entry: case THINGY_3: idx++; case THINGY_2: idx++; case THINGY_1: idx++; case THINGY_0: return s->thingy[idx]; This makes static analysers happy. 2012-10-23Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddrAvi Kivity1-12/+12
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly, standards conformant hwaddr. Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]" | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>

2010-12-11Add endianness as io mem parameterAlexander Graf1-2/+2
As stated before, devices can be little, big or native endian. The target endianness is not of their concern, so we need to push things down a level. This patch adds a parameter to cpu_register_io_memory that allows a device to choose its endianness. For now, all devices simply choose native endian, because that's the same behavior as before. 2009-10-04hw/omap_dma: add matching {} in if 0Michael S. Tsirkin1-60/+62
MULTI_REQ is never defined, so it doesn't matter much, but since we have an if statement there, let's add {} to clarify what it should do if it's uncommented, and indent the code properly. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Aurelien Jarno <aurelien@aurel32.net>
2009-10-01Revert "Get rid of _t suffix"Anthony Liguori1-17/+17
In the very least, a change like this requires discussion on the list. The naming convention is goofy and it causes a massive merge problem. Something like this _must_ be presented on the list first so people can provide input and cope with it. This reverts commit 99a0949b720a0936da2052cb9a46db04ffc6db29. 2009-06-16Remove io_index argument from cpu_register_io_memory()Avi Kivity1-2/+2
The parameter is always zero except when registering the three internal io regions (ROM, unassigned, notdirty). Remove the parameter to reduce the API's power, thus facilitating future change. Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
