2013-04-08hw: move target-independent files to subdirectoriesPaolo Bonzini1-201/+0
This patch tackles all files that are compiled once, moving them to subdirectories of hw/. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini1-4/+4
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches. 2013-03-01hw: include hw header files with full pathsPaolo Bonzini1-5/+5
Done with this script: cd hw for i in `find . -name '*.h' | sed 's/^..//'`; do echo '\,^#.*include.*["<]'$i'[">], s,'$i',hw/&,' done | sed -i -f - `find . -type f` This is so that paths remain valid as files are moved. Instead, files in hw/dataplane are referenced with the relative path. We know they are not going to move to include/, and they are the only include files that are in subdirectories _and_ move. 2013-01-10Make all static TypeInfos constAndreas Färber1-1/+1
Since 39bffca2030950ef6efe57c2fac8327a45ae1015 (qdev: register all types natively through QEMU Object Model), TypeInfo as used in the common, non-iterative pattern is no longer amended with information and should therefore be const. Fix the documented QOM examples: sed -i 's/static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' include/qom/object.h Since frequently the wrong examples are being copied by contributors of new devices, fix all types in the tree: sed -i 's/^static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' */*.c sed -i 's/^static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' */*/*.c This also avoids to piggy-back these changes onto real functional changes or other refactorings. 2012-10-23Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddrAvi Kivity1-2/+2
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly, standards conformant hwaddr. Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]" | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-02-17i8254: Factor out pit_get_channel_infoJan Kiszka1-5/+11
Instead of providing 4 individual query functions for mode, gate, output and initial counter state, introduce a service that queries all information at once. This comes with tiny additional costs for pcspk_callback but with a much cleaner interface. Also, it will simplify the implementation of the KVM in-kernel PIT model. 2012-02-17pcspk: Convert to qdevJan Kiszka1-10/+57
Convert the PC speaker device to a qdev ISA model. Move the public interface to a dedicated header file at this chance. CC: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Jan Kiszka <jan.kiszka@siemens.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>

2011-12-20isa: give ISABus/ISADevice to isa_create(), isa_bus_irqs() and isa_get_irq() ↵Hervé Poussineau1-1/+1
functions NULL is a valid bus/device, so there is no change in behaviour. Signed-off-by: Hervé Poussineau <hpoussin@reactos.org> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2011-03-21change all other clock references to use nanosecond resolution accessorsPaolo Bonzini1-1/+1
This was done with: sed -i 's/qemu_get_clock\>/qemu_get_clock_ns/' \ $(git grep -l 'qemu_get_clock\>' ) sed -i 's/qemu_new_timer\>/qemu_new_timer_ns/' \ $(git grep -l 'qemu_new_timer\>' ) after checking that get_clock and new_timer never occur twice on the same line. There were no missed occurrences; however, even if there had been, they would have been caught by the compiler. There was exactly one false positive in qemu_run_timers: - current_time = qemu_get_clock (clock); + current_time = qemu_get_clock_ns (clock); which is of course not in this patch.
