2015-10-02s390x/gdb: expose virtualization specific registersDavid Hildenbrand1-0/+82
Let's expose some virtual/fake registers as virtualization specific registers. 2015-09-07s390x/gdb: support reading/writing of control registersDavid Hildenbrand1-0/+39
Let's support reading and writing of control registers for kvm and tcg. We have to take care of flushing the tlb (tcg) and pushing the changed registers into kvm. 2015-07-02s390x/gdb: synchronize cpu state after modifying acrsDavid Hildenbrand1-0/+1
Whenever we touch the access control registers, we have to make sure that the values will make it into kvm. Otherwise the change will simply be lost. When synchronizing qemu and kvm, a normal KVM_PUT_RUNTIME_STATE does not take care of these registers. Let's simply trigger a KVM_PUT_FULL_STATE sync, so the values will directly be written to kvm. The performance overhead can be ignored and this is much cleaner than manually writing these registers to kvm via our two supported ways. 2015-05-27s390x: gdb updates for vector registersEric Farman1-0/+46
gdb allows registers to be displayed/modified, and is being updated to account for the new vector registers. Mirror these changes in the gdb stub in qemu so that this can be performed when gdb is attached to the qemu gdbserver. 2015-05-27s390x: Common access to floating point registersEric Farman1-2/+2
Provide a routine to access the correct floating point register, to simplify future expansion. This patch cleanes up two coding style issues (missing whitespaces). 2014-09-01s390x/gdb: generate target.xml and handle fp/ac as coprocessorsDavid Hildenbrand1-21/+70
This patch reduces the core registers to the psw and the general purpose registers. The fpc and ac registers are handled as coprocessors registers by gdb. This allows to reuse the feature xml files taken from gdb without further modification and is what other architectures do. The target.xml is now generated and provided to the gdb client. Therefore, the client doesn't have to guess which registers are available at which logical register number. 2014-09-01s390x/gdb: don't touch the cc if tcg is not enabledDavid Hildenbrand1-4/+10
When reading/writing the psw mask, the condition code may only be touched if running on tcg. Signed-off-by: David Hildenbrand <dahi@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Jens Freimann <jfrei@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Christian Borntraeger <borntraeger@de.ibm.com>

2013-07-27gdbstub: Replace GET_REG*() macros with gdb_get_reg*() functionsAndreas Färber1-6/+6
This avoids polluting the global namespace with a non-prefixed macro and makes it obvious in the call sites that we return. Semi-automatic conversion using, e.g., sed -i 's/GET_REGL(/return gdb_get_regl(mem_buf, /g' target-*/gdbstub.c followed by manual tweaking for sparc's GET_REGA() and Coding Style.
