2018-03-19cpu: get rid of unused cpu_init() definesIgor Mammedov1-1/+0
cpu_init(cpu_model) were replaced by cpu_create(cpu_type) so no users are left, remove it. 2018-03-19cpu: add CPU_RESOLVING_TYPE macroIgor Mammedov1-0/+1
it will be used for providing to cpu name resolving class for parsing cpu model for system and user emulation code. Along with change add target to null-machine tests, so that when switch to CPU_RESOLVING_TYPE happens, it would ensure that null-machine usecase still works. 2018-01-25accel/tcg: add size paremeter in tlb_fill()Laurent Vivier1-2/+2
The MC68040 MMU provides the size of the access that triggers the page fault. This size is set in the Special Status Word which is written in the stack frame of the access fault exception. So we need the size in m68k_cpu_unassigned_access() and m68k_cpu_handle_mmu_fault(). To be able to do that, this patch modifies the prototype of handle_mmu_fault handler, tlb_fill() and probe_write(). do_unassigned_access() already includes a size parameter. This patch also updates handle_mmu_fault handlers and tlb_fill() of all targets (only parameter, no code change). 2017-10-24tcg: Initialize cpu_env genericallyRichard Henderson1-3/+0
This is identical for each target. So, move the initialization to common code. Move the variable itself out of tcg_ctx and name it cpu_env to minimize changes within targets. This also means we can remove tcg_global_reg_new_{ptr,i32,i64}, since there are no longer global-register temps created by targets. Reviewed-by: Emilio G. 2017-10-24tcg: define tcg_init_ctx and make tcg_ctx a pointerEmilio G. Cota1-1/+1
Groundwork for supporting multiple TCG contexts. The core of this patch is this change to tcg/tcg.h: > -extern TCGContext tcg_ctx; > +extern TCGContext tcg_init_ctx; > +extern TCGContext *tcg_ctx; Note that for now we set *tcg_ctx to whatever TCGContext is passed to tcg_context_init -- in this case &tcg_init_ctx. 2017-10-24tcg: convert tb->cflags reads to tb_cflags(tb)Emilio G. Cota1-1/+1
Convert all existing readers of tb->cflags to tb_cflags, so that we use atomic_read and therefore avoid undefined behaviour in C11. Note that the remaining setters/getters of the field are protected by tb_lock, and therefore do not need conversion. Luckily all readers access the field via 'tb->cflags' (so no foo.cflags, bar->cflags in the code base), which makes the conversion easily scriptable: FILES=$(git grep 'tb->cflags' target include/exec/gen-icount.h \ accel/tcg/translator.c | cut -f1 -d':' | sort | uniq) perl -pi -e 's/([^.>])tb->cflags/$1tb_cflags(tb)/g' $FILES perl -pi -e 's/([a-z->.]*)(->|\.)tb->cflags/tb_cflags($1$2tb)/g' $FILES Then manually fixed the few errors that checkpatch reported. Compile-tested for all targets. Suggested-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Reviewed-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Signed-off-by: Emilio G. 2017-09-01tilegx: replace cpu_tilegx_init() with cpu_generic_init()Igor Mammedov2-11/+4
cpu_tilegx_init() always falls back to TYPE_TILEGX_CPU object regardless of cpu_model. Put fallback logic into tilegx_cpu_class_by_name() which would translate any cpu_model into TYPE_TILEGX_CPU class and replace cpu_tilegx_init() with cpu_generic_init(). 2017-01-13qom/cpu: move tlb_flush to cpu_common_resetAlex Bennée2-2/+4
It is a common thing amongst the various cpu reset functions want to flush the SoftMMU's TLB entries. This is done either by calling tlb_flush directly or by way of a general memset of the CPU structure (sometimes both). This moves the tlb_flush call to the common reset function and additionally ensures it is only done for the CONFIG_SOFTMMU case and when tcg is enabled. In some target cases we add an empty end_of_reset_fields structure to the target vCPU structure so have a clear end point for any memset which is resetting value in the structure before CPU_COMMON (where the TLB structures are). While this is a nice clean-up in general it is also a precursor for changes coming to cputlb for MTTCG where the clearing of entries can't be done arbitrarily across vCPUs. Currently the cpu_reset function is usually called from the context of another vCPU as the architectural power up sequence is run. By using the cputlb API functions we can ensure the right behaviour in the future. 2016-12-20Move target-* CPU file into a target/ folderThomas Huth9-0/+4800
We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead.
