2016-02-23tcg: Rename tcg-target.c to tcg-target.inc.cPeter Maydell1-2/+3
Rename the per-architecture tcg-target.c files to tcg-target.inc.c. This makes it clearer that they are not intended to be standalone C files, but are instead #included into another source file. 2015-08-24tcg: Split trunc_shr_i32 opcode into extr[lh]_i64_i32Richard Henderson1-4/+10
Rather than allow arbitrary shift+trunc, only concern ourselves with low and high parts. This is all that was being used anyway. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net>

2015-08-24tcg: rename trunc_shr_i32 into trunc_shr_i64_i32Aurelien Jarno1-1/+1
The op is sometimes named trunc_shr_i32 and sometimes trunc_shr_i64_i32, and the name in the README doesn't match the name offered to the frontends. Always use the long name to make it clear it is a size changing op. Signed-off-by: Aurelien Jarno <aurelien@aurel32.net> Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net>
2014-04-28tcg: Add INDEX_op_trunc_shr_i32Richard Henderson1-0/+5
Let the backend do something special for truncation. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net>

2013-10-10tcg: Add qemu_ld_st_i32/64Richard Henderson1-24/+19
Step two in the transition, adding the new ldst opcodes. Keep the old opcodes around until all backends support the new opcodes. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net>

2012-10-28tcg: rework TCG helper flagsAurelien Jarno1-5/+14
The current helper flags, TCG_CALL_CONST and TCG_CALL_PURE might be confusing and doesn't provide enough granularity for some helpers (FP helpers for example). This patch changes them into the following helpers flags: - TCG_CALL_NO_READ_GLOBALS means that the helper does not read globals, either directly or via an exception. They will not be saved to their canonical location before calling the helper. - TCG_CALL_NO_WRITE_GLOBALS means that the helper does not modify any globals. They will only be saved to their canonical locations before calling helpers, but they won't be reloaded afterwise. - TCG_CALL_NO_SIDE_EFFECTS means that the call to the function is removed if the return value is not used. It provides convenience flags, to avoid helper definitions longer than 80 characters. It also provides compatibility flags, and updates the documentation. 2012-10-28tcg: forbid ld/st function to modify globalsAurelien Jarno1-0/+3
Mapping a memory address using a global and accessing it through ld/st operations is currently broken. As it doesn't make any sense to do that performance wise, let's forbid that. Update the TCG documentation, and remove partial support for that. Reviewed-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Signed-off-by: Aurelien Jarno <aurelien@aurel32.net>
2012-10-06tcg: remove obsolete jmp opAurelien Jarno1-6/+1
The TCG jmp operation doesn't really make sense in the QEMU context, it is unused, it is not implemented by some targets, and it is wrongly implemented by some others. This patch simply removes it. 2010-03-26tcg: Disambiguate qemu_ld32u with 32-bit and 64-bit outputs.Richard Henderson1-3/+7
Some targets (e.g. Alpha and MIPS64) need to keep 32-bit operands sign-extended in 64-bit registers (regardless of the "real" sign of the operand). For that, we need to be able to distinguish between a 32-bit load with a 32-bit result and a 32-bit load with a given extension to a 64-bit result. This distinction already exists for the ld* loads, but not the qemu_ld* loads. Reserve qemu_ld32u for 64-bit outputs and introduce qemu_ld32 for 32-bit outputs. Adjust all code generators to match.
